AI Messiah

There is a very old Jewish proverb that goes:
If you are planting in the field and someone runs from the village yelling the Messiah has come and is in the village, finish your planting and then go see the Messiah.

This comes from a time when many people showed up claiming to be the Messiah. Similarly, artificial intelligence is the new messiah. There are lots of claims, but little progress has been made on the investment.

After decades of work, we now have chatbots that can pass a Turning test. These same bots can create images, music, and short videos from text prompts.

With the billions of dollars sunk into this, we can now simulate things that groups of people have been doing for years.

So what should we do? Finish your planting, then go see the new AI.
